Introduction

This paper analyzes the dynamic action of the Syrian National Council
(al-majlis al-watani al-Suri, CNS), the main opposition platform
the regime of Bashar al-Assad since the start of the popular uprising
March 15, 2011. He stops, too, on his relationship with
local coordination committees, the Free Syrian Army, the National Committee
Coordination for Democratic Change and personalities
independent from the inside. Ultimately, the article tries to answer
the question of whether the Council was able to bring together all sectors
the heterogeneous opposition around a common agenda and
it will be able to lay the foundation for a civil state, plural and democratic
if the plan would removed.
