Morocco has embarked on the road to sustainable development by joining, in 1992, the Agenda 21 adopted the same year by the United Nations Conference on Environment and Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro. This mobilization of the state and all of society is strengthened by the inclusion of new asset development in the various sector strategies underway that, in accordance with the High Royal occurred since the early 2000s.
