Introduction



The objective of this paper is to understand the economics of
the major political and social crisis that erupted in Egypt in late January 2011.
It is not to comment on current developments but to return
of the oldest economic causes, including the impact of
2008 global crisis and what we might call the "myth of
Egyptian emergence "1. We want to demonstrate that
Egypt, like other Arab countries, has not received a good
but a false assessment of the macroeconomic situation. this
shared illusion that the dominant economic literature except
2 multidisciplinary work has prevented him from seeing the depth of the crisis
