Abstract

The “Vehicle 2l/100km” program is one of the 34 industrial projects announced by the French president. It stems from a European compromise for reducing, between 2012 and 2015, the average emission by new cars of CO2 to 130 g/km and then to 95 g by 2020. Realizing this ambitious project requires not only improving systems of propulsion and reducing the weight of vehicles but also increasing the reliance on information and telecommunication technology.
