The Emirate of Qatar, new center nerve in the Arab world

Introduction

The launch of the Al Jazeera information chain, then investments
in finance and more recently in football (purchase of clubs and
retransmission rights) well as its role played in the Libyan conflict, have
placed the Qatar on the front of the international scene. Rich in peninsula
gas (deposits off shore) and oil, located on the south shore of the Gulf arabopersique
(at the border of Saudi Arabia and close to Arab Emirates
united and of Bahrain), the Qatar displays ambitions that rely on a
financial strike force outside the norm, having regard to its very small size.
