Résumé
Regulation has been set up as a transitory measure towards the free market economy. Experience has shown it did not work that way. In this case, what has been the actual role of regulation and why do we persist in implementing it? Francis Fruchart: Regulation of the market is a typical political debate, therefore immediately passionate and emotive. Staunch supporters of liberalism against staunch partisans of strong organisation by the state! As Louis Aragon wrote in his 1943 poem “The Rose and the Mignonette”: “The one who believed in heaven The one who didn’t”. To get out of this sterile debate, in which nobody listens to the other, it is necessary to have a look at the complexity theory.
