Yves MENEZO got his Ph D thesis in 1971 from the University of Lyon (France) and then his Dr of Sciences in 1979. His work is devoted to the metabolism of the preimplantation embryo and the metabolic exchanges with the female genital tract. He has been first à researcher at INRA the French Public Institute for Agricultural Research. He designed in 1976 the first synthetic culture medium for reproductive biotechnologies in farm animals. He has been nominated as associated Professor in the department of animal sciences at the LSU, Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Then he left INRA in 1990 to follow Dr Charles Mérieux at the Mérieux Foundation as head of the ART Unity. He left in 2007 and is now an independent scientific adviser. His research is currently focused on epigenetic problems in reproduction and their possible impacts on future generations. Pr Menezo has published more than 250 scientific papers and book chapters and developed several patents and "know how".
