LES BONNES FEUILLES DE L’ASSURANCE N°3
DÉCEMBRE 2022
The transition to a low-carbon economy has already begun and is well under way. Not only is decarbonisation a necessity for the survival of our planet.
The shift from conventional to electric cars and the new infrastructures needed both in cities and on highways, climate adaptation works, renewable energy production and distribution, nature conservation and restoration projects, and the retrofitting of buildings, are only a few of the many areas concerned. It is also becoming increasingly clear that finding the means to finance the decarbonisation of the economy is as much of a challenge as that of decarbonising the economy itself. It’s clear that these gigantic investments, needed to reach the new low-carbon economy, require the development of highly specialised financial products and services, as well as new standards and principles.
